Business Meeting Minutes
July 27, 2005

Call to Order - Chair, NLTAPA President Terry McNinch: The business meeting was reconvened at 9:50 am.
Opening Remarks: Thank You - Terry McNinch Terry thanked the Membership, the E.C. and Region 7 for all the work that they have done over the last year.
Adopt the Agenda - Chair: A motion was made to accept the agenda as written. The motion was seconded and passed.

Unfinished Business

NLTAPA Operational Structure Focus Areas - NLTAPA Executive Committee: a) Questions and Answers. The tabled motion was brought before the membership. "The Report given by the Executive Committee on the operational structure be accepted". David Orr offered an amendment to his own motion; "The member centers of NLTAPA approve the concept of using a focus area approach as defined by the Operational Structure report of the executive committee. The member centers should be informed of any changes to the focus areas". The amendment was seconded.Richard Rollins offered an amendment to the amendment stating; "We accept the report as submitted". The amendment was seconded, and David Orr accepted.The amendment to the amendment was passed. The amendment to the motion was passed. The motion was passed.
2005/2006 NLTAPA Budget - Terry McNinch: Terry presented the NLTAPA 2005/2006 Budget of anticipated expenditures and a motion was made from the floor to accept this budget. The motion was seconded and opened to discussion. A question was asked from the floor about whether this budget was a fixed amount or flexible. Terry explained that this is an anticipated budget and that some of the costs may vary. Hearing no other questions, Terry called for a vote and the motion passed.

Welcome New Officers - Terry McNinch: Terry welcomed Lisa Harris as the new Secretary for the Association and passed the gavel to Bruce Drewes as the new President.
Thank You to Outgoing Executive Committee Members - NLTAPA President: Bruce presented Terry with a plaque, thanking him for his leadership and dedication to the association. Bruce also thanked the whole E.C. for the work that they have accomplished this year.
Thank You to Region 7 Organizing Committee - NLTAPA President: Bruce asked the organizing committee for the conference come to the front of the room to thank them for all of the hard work they put forth to make this conference a success.
Motion to Adjourn: Bruce asked if there was any additional business from the floor. Hearing none, he asked for a motion to adjourn. A motion was made, seconded and passed. The meeting adjourned at 11:00
