Community News

• Check the LTAP/TTAP events calendar for regional meeting dates, upcoming seminar rooms and conferences. The latest photos from LTAP/TTAP Spring events are now on the LTAP/TTAP Flickr page.
• The 2010 Roles and Responsibilities Draft Update has now been posted on program website.
• Several new LTAP/TTAP Interchange audio newsletters have been added to our site. Recent interviews include Dennis Trusty discussing tribal transportation issues; the latest on Construction Career Days with Jeff Cathcart and Brindley Byrd and Susan Monahan on the Better Mousetrap competition.

• Bill Woods, the North Carolina LTAP program coordinator, was recently nominated for the North Carolina University Award for Excellence.
• The Colorado LTAP participated in the Colorado Spring Street Conference this April to promote National Work Zone Awareness Week.
• The Connecticut LTAP has developed a new work zone safety poster for the public works agencies and a Traffic Safety Primer for local elected officials.
• Cameron Ishaq represented FHWA and LTAP/TTAP at the 2010 Resource Conservation Challenge breakout session Greening Our Transportation Infrastructure.
• The Ohio LTAP has recently compiled a list of more than 250 publications that are available online, free of charge, in electronic PDF format. Ohio LTAP has also made township outreach a priority for 2010. Map of outreach.
